

Optometrist
Dr. Kelly Cooper founded Route 33 Eye Care & Optical Boutique in 2023 with the vision of seamlessly combining comprehensive medical eye care with curated optical fashion in a modern boutique setting.
Dr. Cooper earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida, followed by a second bachelor’s degree in Vision Science and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. During her final year of training, she completed two highly regarded externships and was honored as Extern of the Year in 2020 by Braverman Eye Center in Hollywood, Florida.
A licensed therapeutic optometrist, Dr. Cooper has extensive training in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. She has a particular interest in dry eye disease management and specializes in fitting multifocal contact lenses.
Originally from a small town in South Florida, Dr. Cooper enjoys spending time on the water and with her family. Outside of the office, she values time with her husband, Dr. Phillip DeMott, son, Robert, Rottweiler, Winifred and their Persian cat, Charles.
